World Book Day last Thursday was a fabulous day. Everyone looked brilliant in their costumes so thank you for supporting this event in a range of wonderful ways! We were very lucky to have visits from authors Martin Rowley (who wrote the fantasy book Joe Stone & The Curse of Lady Malaga) and Debra Wellington, the Devon-based book illustrator of The Animal Says.
 

Martin was kind enough to donate 6 signed books for our school libraries. Children are still able to order copies should they wish. Some children created some pictures of some of the patterns and shapes inspired by Debra’s illustrations, which were created in collage! Thanks to Mrs Parker for booking these special guests!

 

Year 6 got to enjoy sharing a story with their buddies. They were all very excited to see each other again and to share their favourite books together!
